The Good Vibes Run offers a new event experience in 2022 so we understand you may have some questions.
How will I know if my registration for the Good Vibes Run 2022 is successful?
You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration.
Is there an age limit to enter?
Age restrictions are stated in the rules and regulations page.
I am unable to participate in the event due to illness/injury. Can I get a refund?
Once the registration has been completed and confirmed, there are strictly no refunds for participants who, for whatever reason, eventually do not take part.
Can I transfer my entry to another athlete if I choose not to participate in the event?
No. Event registrations are strictly non-transferable. Personal information such as age and gender are tagged to each unique participant and competing on behalf of the registered participant is not allowed. The Event Organiser reserves the right to disqualify the participant whose entry has been transferred. The Organisers reserve the right to exclude both parties from future events.
Can I make changes to my particulars after completing my registration?
Yes. You may change your address and phone number. You may login to your Registration account to make these changes. To do this, click here and enter your email address and booking reference number found in your confirmation email.

Can I change my route originally selected (Sunset Delight, Park Life) after completing my registration?
When does the registration close?
Registration for the 2022 Good Vibes Run closes on 17 Sep 2022, 23:59.
When will the MyRaceGate app be ready to download?
You will receive an email on 14 September when the app is ready.
Will there be an event briefing?
All event day information will be available on the event website, and emailed to you, at least one week prior to the event. Please take the time to read it carefully.
How can I get to the start line?
Visit the “Getting There” section of the Event Info page to see how to get to each route.
Will someone ensure that I complete the full course?
Rather than having direction signs and marshals on the course, the MyRaceGate app will guide you from start to finish (yes it’s very cool!). There are GPS checkpoints en-route that will be validated automatically as you pass them to ensure you complete the whole course.
Can I join the activities for free? Do I need to register?
Yes you are welcome to join any of the activities (yoga, zumba, kids activities) for free. There’s no need to register, just come along before or after your run and enjoy!
Can I participate in the event with a friend or colleague?
Yes, you can participate with a friend or colleague. Simply select the same course and day to run when registering, and on event day ensure you track your distance using your own device, and not share a device with anyone else.
May I know what is the cut-off time for the 5km routes?
There are no cut-off times for any of the routes. They just need to be completed within the time frame of the event (17-18 Sep 2022).
Can I participate in the event with an MP3 or other music player?
Yes, headphones and music players are permitted – however remember that your MyRaceGate app will be audio guiding you around the course so you’ll need to hear the directions!
Can I listen to music on my phone while the MyRaceGate app is tracking my run?
Yes, you can load up your playlist – the app has been configured to lower the sound of your music when one of our audio messages is being announced.
Is there a bag deposit service available?
Sorry, bag deposit will not be provided.
Do I receive a finisher medal?
Yes, you will receive a finisher pin at the finish line if you have selected to opt-in during your registration.
Where can I find my results?
Official results will be posted on the Race Results page of our website 48-hours post-event. A provisional leaderboard will also be constantly updated during the two-day race period.
Can I get an e-Certificate?
Yes, all participants will be able to download their e-certificate. We will send you an email when they are ready.

Why do I need to use the app?
The MyRaceGate app will track your course and enhance your event experience thanks to its unique in-app audio and motivational messages. When you’ve tracked your run through the racing app, we will validate and publish your time in the official results online.
Do I need to carry my smartphone?
Yes – you need it because the MyRaceGate app is the official way to track your route. As well as recording your participation, the app features exclusive audio updates at regular intervals to boost your morale every kilometer. Having your smartphone with you also means you will be able to call someone if you need to.
How do I log into the app?
Open the MyRaceGate app and enter the email used for registration and the booking reference number received in the confirmation email. Resend your confirmation email here.

How do I set up GPS tracking?
Ensure mobile data is switched on and that you have given the MyRaceGate app permission to use your location in your phone settings. You will be prompted to enable location services by the app during the set-up process. If you are using iOS 14, make sure you allow precise location.
What is the in-app audio experience?
We have included a motivating audio commentary to direct you around the course for your ease and safety. It will also enhance your event experience and let you know how far you have covered on the selected route, and share motivational messages as you keep moving.
Can I turn the audio experience off?
No, directional messaging is compulsory.
Can I do a practice run with the MyRaceGate app before event day?
No. You won’t be able to use the app before starting your event during the time slot you have booked.
Can I pause my run?
You cannot pause your run once you have started (ie. if you stop to take a photo, use the bathroom, tie your shoelaces). The timer will continue running.
What time can I start the event?
You can start your event at any time within the start period of your chosen course on the day selected during registration.
Can I change the day I’ve chosen to run (Park Life course only)?
Yes, you can log back into your registration and change your day any time.
How will my official time be calculated?
Your official time will be the elapsed time recorded by the MyRaceGate app.
How will I know when I have completed my selected route?
When you have completed your selected route, you will hear a congratulatory message and the MyRaceGate App will automatically stop tracking and record your time.
How should I set up my phone on event day?
What should I do if I can’t login to the app?
How can I preserve my phone’s battery life while using the app?
While using the MyRaceGate app, turn off Wi-Fi and only have Bluetooth on if you’re using wireless headphones. Avoid taking or making a call while you’re moving, and avoid keeping other apps open unless you are also tracking your run using Strava or RunKeeper (or similar).
Important – please do not put your phone in low power mode as the app will not be able to track your distance.
Check your mobile data usage settings for the app to ensure it is running in the background with full power.
What if it’s pouring rain at the time the race is on?
Take shelter and wait for the rain to clear! Our volunteers will be there to guide you.
